[ looks like he's. getting brownies with xue yang. but that's probably better than continuing to get drunk in house finch. he's a little tipsy as well as he makes his way, following xue yang's terrible directions (he goes down the first hallway by sheer luck). and then he is at the birdbucks, swaying slightly in place and staring at the display of pastries. ]

Xue Yang is relatively nearby so it doesn't take him that long to arrive, though Wei Wuxian still beats him there. He comes up beside him, and without even glancing at Wei Wuxian first he points to the display case and speaks to the employee. ]

(He can steal them if he wants to but breaking the glass is a hassle and knocking out the employee is annoying. Xue Yang can just pay for them this time the way Jin Guangyao always tried to get him to do back where they came from.) ]

hahahahaha would it trouble you if i said yes? it was a surreal experience. my body changed, my instincts changed, even my senses changed. i could smell it on someone when they were aroused and they could smell the same on me.
and even my hole, well. it was as if i had prepped with quite a bit of oil beforehand but all of it was naturally occurring instead. strange but useful!

The strangest thing? I would have to say the discovery of the TVA. Finding out that there is an entire organization existing outside of time was really exceptional.

[ He gets the picture. There's an impulse to laugh caught in his throat, finding the situation and the coyness quite funny but he knows that it wouldn't really land right for Dan Heng, not when they're still just getting to know each other. So, he swallows it down and just smiles instead. ]
I'm more than okay with it. Do you want to do it here or move to one of the cabins?
[ The tree is pretty secure and hidden away but there's still the threat of falling off the branch if they get too carried away. They can move to a cabin instead and have the privacy that they need so Dan Heng doesn't get too overwhelmed. It's probably a better idea, but still, he wonders how Dan Heng is feeling. ]

It'll take a bit of time, he has to stand still until the fish begin to swim around him again and he startles them whenever he sinks his hands in the water to catch one. But eventually, he'll get about four fish — two for each of them, and toss them into his outer robe, using it as a cloth to carry the fish.
If Xue Yang hasn't returned by then, he'll go off to find him. If he has, he'll hold up the robe full of fish with a grin. Once he's reunited with Xue Yang, he'll comment on his success. ]
